Female Ejaculation

Sex and pleasure are still taboo topics in many cultures, even today. While male ejaculation during arousal and climax is common knowledge, not many know about female ejaculation.

Although historical data has shown the existence of female ejaculation for more than 2,000 years, it is still surrounded by controversy.

This leads us to ask, is female ejaculation real? Can it really happen? And if so, when does it start and at what age does a woman stop ejaculating?

Here, I will discuss the topic of female ejaculation, what it is, and at what age a woman stops ejaculating.

What is Female Ejaculation and

Female ejaculation is the release of liquid, different from urine, from the Skene’s glands, during or before sexual stimulation or orgasm.

The Skene’s glands are also called the female prostate, which is located at the lower end of the urethra. When stimulated, the tissue surrounding the glands swells with blood and secrete fluid from openings.

Although reports vary, fluid released by female ejaculation can be between 1-5 milliliters (ml). It is a thick, milky fluid that is unlike urine, but includes urea and contains components also found in semen, including prostate-specific antigen and creatinine.

A General Term

In the past, female ejaculation was an umbrella term used to describe the release of any fluids during orgasm, such as squirting, vaginal lubrication, and coital incontinence.

It is now known that female ejaculation is different from all three. Squirting is liquid released by the bladder, approximately 10 ml or more, and contains urine.

It is also different from cervical fluid, which serves to lubricate the vagina during sexual intercourse.

Coital incontinence, on the other hand, is urinary liquid released during sex by women already experiencing urinary continence issues.

Benefits

Although the exact function of female ejaculation remains unclear, it is theorized that secretion into the urethra provides women protection from urinary tract infections (UTIs), as it may contain antimicrobial compounds.

Is Female Ejaculation Real?

From the above discussion, it is clearly understood that female ejaculation is a real thing in women’s sexual life.

How Common is Female Ejaculation?

Studies and surveys vary due to the sensitivity of the subject. The lack of consistent definitions and research methodology has led to poor data.

However, it is estimated that less than 50% of women experience the release of fluid during orgasms.

At What Age Does a Woman Stop Ejaculating?

According to an international online survey conducted in 2013, not only does female ejaculation have a positive impact on women’s lives, but it can happen to women of all ages and can last as long as women continue to experience sexual arousal.

Final Thoughts

Although controversial, and considered taboo in some cultures, female ejaculation is real, pleasurable, and it does not stop at a specific age for women.
